Wallachian Open Air Museum

The Wallachian Open-Air Museum was spurred to existence by the Jaroněk brothers and is the oldest museum of its kind in Central Europe.The Wallachian Open-Air Museum consists of three parts: the Wooden Townlet, the Wallachian Village and the Water Mill Valley. Museum represents the most extensive collection with more than 100 historical buildings.

Hukvaldy castle

Once one of the largest castles in Moravia, surrounded by an extensive game park – an ideal place for a pleasant stroll. The romantic ruins of the medieval castle are the ideal place to look out over the countryside too.

Pustevny - Radhošť

Discover the natural beauty of Pustevny.  Pustevny (1018 metres above sea level) is a mountain saddle and is the most popular tourist destination in both summer and winter.  Pustevny is dominated by wooden buildings built in the traditional style by architect Dušan Jurkovič.  A footpath leads along the ridge from Pustevny to the peak of Radhošť. There is a chapel built in 1898 and a sculpture of Saints Cyril and Methodius from the year 1905. Halfway to Radhošť from Pustevny is the statue of the pagan Slavic god Radegast.

Štramberk

This picturesque little town in the center of the Štramberk Highlands, known as “Moravian Bethlehem”, is spread over the slopes of Castle Hill, Kotouč, White Mountain, Libotín Hills and Red Stone in the foothills of the Beskydy Mountains.The town and the surrounding area are dominated by the ruins of the Strallenberg castle including a cylindrical tower called Trúba.

Biking

The city features nature biking trails that lead to many beautiful and interesting places of microregion Beskydy. For mountine and nature lovers offer an enchanting view of deep valleys, passing through mountain forests and meadows​. Terrain at lower elevations can be particularly challenging for less experienced cyclists .

Skiing

Beskydy is one of the most visited mountains in the Czech Republic. At skiing season a great number of ski lovers attend this area.
